Repair
Signs you may need cooling repair

Cooling systems often show signs before they fail completely.

  • AC blowing warm air

  • Weak airflow or uneven temperatures

  • System won't turn on or keeps shutting off

  • AC running constantly

  • Unusual noises or vibrations

  • Frozen coils or poor cooling performance

  • Rising energy bills due to inefficient operation

When it's time for a new system
Frequently Asked Questions

If your air conditioner is older, breaking down repeatedly, or struggling to keep your home comfortable, it may be time to consider replacement. However, many cooling issues can be fixed with the right repair. We'll inspect the system, explain what's happening, and help you decide on the most cost-effective option for long-term comfort.

Warm air can be caused by several issues, including thermostat settings, airflow restrictions, electrical problems, or a system that isn't operating correctly. The quickest way to prevent bigger damage is to schedule a service call. We'll troubleshoot the issue and get your system cooling properly again.

Most homes should have air conditioning maintenance once per year. Routine maintenance visits help improve efficiency, extend the life of the system, and reduce the chance of a breakdown. If you want us to handle reminders and timing automatically, our Maintenance Plan is built for that.

Common signs include uneven temperatures, weak airflow, longer run times, rising energy bills and a home that won't cool down on hot days. If something feels off, it's worth getting checked before the problem gets worse. Small issues can turn into major repairs when ignored.

Yes. Whether your system was installed by T M Johnson Bros or another contractor we can service it. We'll troubleshoot the issue, explain what we find and recommend the best path forward to restore comfort and reliability.

Yes. AC maintenance helps catch worn components early, improves system efficiency and reduces strain during hot weather. It's one of the best ways to avoid emergency problems in the middle of summer and keep your home consistently comfortable.

Cooling Problems & Solutions

If your AC is running but the air feels warm or weak, it's usually a sign of restricted airflow or a refrigerant issue. Common causes include clogged filter, frozen evaporator coil, blocked outdoor condenser or low refrigerant levels.

Seeing water around your indoor AC unit can be stressful, but it's very common and usually fixable. Condensation forms naturally when warm air meets cold coils, and that moisture should drain through a small PVC line. When that drain line becomes clogged, damaged or frozen, the water build up and eventually leaks.

A leaking AC can lead to water damage or mold if not addressed quickly. We'll inspect the drain line, pump and pan, clean out obstructions and make sure the system is draining properly. Most leaks can be solved with one visit, and we'll let you know if anything else needs attention to prevent it from happening again.

Your AC should be quiet. Grinding, squealing, rattling or buzzing noises are signs that a component is wearing out or loose. Noise can come from the fan motor, blower assembly, refrigerant flow or loose panels and ductwork. Some sounds indicate minor issues while others should be addressed quickly to avoid costly failures.

We inspect the entire system to find the source of the noise, check for excessive water and test airflow. Once we identify the problem, we give you clear options so you can decide how to move forward. Sometimes it's as simple as tightening a part or lubricating a motor.

If your AC never stops running or your  home still feels sticky and humid, there's a good chance the system is struggling to remove moisture or cool efficiently. Common causes include low refrigerant, a dirty outdoor condenser, poor airflow or a system that's improperly sized for your home.

We evaluate the entire cooling system including airflow balance, ductwork, refrigerant charge and thermostat accuracy. After the diagnostic, we provide straightforward solutions based on what gives you the best comfort and efficiency. Sometimes a small fix can make a big difference in performance and energy use.
